JIGSAW READING

Website which I find the about the jigsaw reading is
http://www.holycross.edu/departments/economics/vmatheso/research/jigsaw.pdf

First of all in this website it explains the introduction of jigsaw reading. Jigsaw reading is an activity done in classroom to encourage students to well participates in learning. Students have been asked to select any articles which are relevant, read the article, write a summary of the article and prepare a short oral presentation. Then, they will form in small groups at the class and they have to present the main points of the articles to other students in their group. The jigsaw reading is a combines of reading comprehension, oral presentation and small group work as their assignment.

Then the website explains about the advantages of the jigsaw reading. Fist advantage is that the size of the classroom from 4-100. It is easier too control the less group of class because each and every presentation can be done on the some day. Second, the technique allows the students to minimum their class time by doing their presentation in a group. Third, jigsaw reading adds learning component where students can be done in classroom time when compared to presenting material through individual to the whole class. Forth, student can more concentrate to peer teacher compare to professor where the group is smaller. Finally, by doing the presentation students can more understanding about what they are presenting.

Now move to disadvantages. First, sometimes the students do not really understand on what they are going to say, they will sometimes give wrong information to groups and its makes other students confuse. Second, by personal experience where can leads to effectiveness the more time will be used for the single class? Let’s now look at the variations on the jigsaw reading. First, there are research papers which significant component which students make a small group to present. Next, includes presentations of group papers or projects. Finally, allow students to choose their own article on a specific topic.

In conclusion, jigsaw reading is an effective tool with which to promote active and effective learning.

Thevakee.
So far you the only one who actually put up all the postings required. Good job. Try again with your advertisement. As for the content of your first posting I'm a bit confused about this line--

Are you talking about jigsaw reading or presentation skill?
